Smartphones users using both Android and iOS were affected.

During our recent encounter with a JioFi wireless router device, it was observed the product ODM is Pegasus. ODM does not tell the full name of the company nor the address of the company. The device firmware is also not open source, hence we have to cast the shadow of doubt on such cheaply available routers in the Indian market.

To add Jio is the first telecommunication operator in India to enforce fingerprint based biometric verification of every individual. Adhaar fingerprint verification were performed on every subscriber and not a Adhaar based OTP verification.

Jio wireless M2S router ODM is Pegasus, router firmware is named as PEG_M2S_B15 and hardware version is PEG_M2S_D01

A through investigation need to be conducted on Reliance Jio and it’s link with Pegasus.
